A portrait of Jude Law that I did for painting class during the middle of my sophmore year (early 2004). We called this a lift-off painting...we painted a brownish-purple acrylic paint on a board, and to get all the lighter tones we would wet a brush and wipe off the paint we didn't want. So the darkest areas of the painting is how the whole thing was to begin with, and everything lighter was pushed around or taken off completely.
